A Colorado USA-based company partnered with an international company. Following shoulder surgery that required being immobilized in a sling with an abduction pillow, I realized I could no longer access my pocket where I kept small items such as wallet/credit cards, medications, car keys, mobile phone, etc. This need inspired me to design a storage compartment in the abduction pillow, which then allowed easy access to items without compromising the integrity/comfort of the product.
